some questions

Messagede eb3frn » Jeu 27 Mar 2014 17:43

Hi,

I have a TT S2-1600 card a 1m mesh dish with LNA a custom downconverter.

This weekend I will try to receive the dtv from the ISS, but have some questions.

I read taht the TT-S2 card can be used directlly at 2.4GHz without donwconverter, it is true?

What signal, I have to see? They are transmiting continuosly? Some test chart?

Thanks fo all

Hello,

Yes, with S2-1600 you can receive DVB-S from 600 MHz to 2600 MHz.
You have just to give directly the frequency (02395000) and 00000000 for offset.
In this case you don't use down converter, but you need LNA between dish and S2-1600.

HamTV is transmitting continuously . Just change frequency or symbol rate each sunday for the moment.
Camera is shut off, so Video is just a black picture.
But you can use Tutioune to see the RF level, constellations and MER changing, and see the TS Led going Green to show you are receiving packets from Transport Stream so could decode video and audio .
To see what result you can get, You can look at the video here:

S2-3200 just work on L-Band so need a down converter to receive 2.4GHz.

You must install tutioune3200 complete package:
http://www.vivadatv.org/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=276

After you can add the specific tutioune3200 for ISS that will correct the HAmTV bug.
It has been added in the discussion about that bug:
http://www.vivadatv.org/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=281

If you want to calibrate you tracking system using Sun tracking you can also use NPM:
