I have been given an old laptop with Win 10 on which has an i5 processor in it. Having installed all the drivers and extra software it passes both e "Test My Minitiouner" and "Check my Minitiouner" with green lights all round. The only problem I can see is the NIM is only 65%.

When I start the MiniTiouner program I get the white start up box telling me it has found the device and please wait for 5 seconds, BUT that is as far is it goes. The only way out is to close the program under Task Manager.
I have tried version 0.8 and 0.9
Could someone help me out please.

give a screenshot of what says "testMyMiniTiouner" ( with first lines of information)

could you test your MiniTiouner on another computer?

I am using the MiniTiouner Express and it work fine on my main PC, just not on this laptop.

all seems Ok, and your MiniTioouner works on another computer.

so something is not working on this PC, I can't say more. Very difficult to fix If I have not the PC in my hand.

I understand.

All I get when I try to run the program is the white start up box saying "MiniTiouner-Express with NIM Serit FTS-4334 detected (MiniTiouner-Express schematic: www.Vivadatv.org) Please wait 5 sec, Minitioune V0.9 is loading...."

The box just stays there and the only way to end it is via Task Manager.
I have even tried V0.8 but then Task Manager does not find the "process" and the only way to stop it is to end the "service"

Could it be due to a slow PC or a poor IC2 performance ?

I think USB problem (driver ??)

But take care, several people had some strange problem after an update that was fixed with a new Win10 update. Perhaps it is also your case?

Still cannot get the software to work on this laptop.

The same hapens to me. I've just installed the drivers, passed the driver and filter checks - all tested OK. I then tried to run the program for the first time. It also freezes on the splash screen. I'm using the 0.9.9 version with Windows 10 Pro version 2004 (July 2020) Build 19041450.

Dear Jean-Pierre,

Assuming it can be a driver related problem (machine is brand new, exactly the same hardware works in a a very old computer with the same O/S and so on),

...how can I watch where the software gets stucked in this machine? The splash screen does not say what the program is attempting to do in the "5 seconds". Apparently, Windows 10 Event Manager does not register any event for this program.

I'd be very grateful if you could please shed some light into this issue.
