Hi,

Would it be possible to get the stationname back on the UDP channel when tuned (manual or by UDP) ??
That would be really handy to build upon...

Hello,

1) Via UDP Minitioune send a TS upon UDP data stream, it is a protocol, I cannot add something else I I want that tools that use TS upon UDP can work.

2) it is not worth to add the name of sttation in the UDP stream as it is already included in the TS sent by UDP, VLC can find it, TSreader can find it ...and Minitioune found it in the TS received..
Minitioune find the Station Name (if it does exist in the TS data) and shows it.
so I don't really understand what more you want.

i will explain:
i have already the data from the webspectrum from batc.
you can detect signals and symbol rates from it.

send this information through udp packet to minitiouner
lock to signal
if lock => get station name back.

display station name on top of webspectrum analyzer

This way we can see who is transmitting....
This could be extra webservice or so...

use the minitiouner to constantly tune to new stations.... and get their callsigns.

no visualization of ts needed...

if we see a new callsign or interesting callsign.... we tune and look.
Now we often tune.. and see a repetition of always the same transmissions.... its boring... and no one will continue watching...
You see my problem?

Hello ,

I understand what you are asking, I work on it since 3 months.
I prepare solution with a scanner made by the NIM and that will be included in the MinitiounePro software

the software in near to be finished as a stand alone tool. Thios software send order to Minitioune when you click a button.
QO100_scanBandwidth 9MHz détection 2 stations.jpg
QO100_scanBandwidth 9MHz détection 2 stations.jpg (155.87 Kio) Vu 14663 fois

and I include it in Minitioune to obtain a new software "MiniTiounePro" that will do at same time receiving and spectrum analyzer with station data detection... I suppose that it is what you wish??

i think it is not quite the same.

i want this as a service to the public.
have 1 system that scans the signals all the time.... if there is a signal, tune to it and get the station name. (automatic - no click needed - unattended)
report this station name back on an UDP packet. (report back station name - freq pair)

this way the info can be put on top of the batc pectrum view....

this way all people can see who is on the band.

this spectrum analyzer send by UDP all information it can get.
actually it send to Minitioune : Freq, SR, offset, DVBmode, Fec
and can display RFlevel, MER, Report ( D0 ... D5 ... Dn) that shows if that signal can be decoded (= enough strength for the Fec used), I could send this data by UDP but Minitioune don't needs them, so I have not done.

it is sent using Multicast UDP protocol so = broadcasting

But as this software will be inside Minitioune, we don't need the BATC spectrum: we will have the spectrum in Minitioune software including all information about each station present.
In that way we do not need Internet connection. good also for portable stations.

Hello folks, I hope you are all managing to stay well. I have built the Minitiouner V2 and registered with Viva DATV but I'm having great difficulty finding the software download location. Would somebody be kind enough to point me to a still-valid link, please? Many thanks. Stay safe. Martyn G6FSU
