Bonjour,

merci

Hi - there is a bug in the ini file

; UDP address used to send TS to VLC
;.....................................
;Conf_AddrUDP=232.0.0.12
; you can try a virtual address if you have no Ethernet or Wifi connexion
AddrUDP=127.0.0.1
Conf_Port=9999

It should have Conf_ in front of it.

More serious this but has been there for several versions. Minitioune saturates one CPU core. This causes the CPU to throttle to maximum speed when it does not need to. This is a problem as it causes a lot of heat. I have tried explain this before but it is not understood why it is a problem. Can I make it clear that saturating a single CPU core is not a good thing to do on a modern CPU because it causes that core to get very hot. It won't break but it's not good practice.

Hi Mike,

Minitioune saturates one CPU core

I don't know yet where I could search to find why.

with my I7 @3.6MHz, there is one CPU Core at 80% and not saturating, I cannot hear the fan noise. All others CPU are used at a very lower %

I will try to find why. If you use the "Tiouner" part of Scan&Tioune (Scan is stopped), you can observe that you are receiving the beacon and get the measurement without great % on any CPU (30% max here).
and if you also stop the measuring procedure (with "priority" checked) you continue to receive and display the beacon with a very low % CPU.
(but again, if you start the scanner, you will have one CPU % that goes high)

So in Minitioune, what takes %CPU is the measurement loop, monitoring the movement of the Derotator, oscilloscope, constellations ...

I will check by adding several checkbox to disconnect each process.

No, you are not right, this is Conf_Port that my software look at. Conf_in does'nt exist.
