Minittioune runs for about 2mins decoding H265 then freezes

Don't no what the cause is but MT freezes after about 2 minutes decoding H265 1M/S older versions as well do the same.

It seems to lose contact with the LAV codec as just before it freezes I get an extra LAV decoder Icon on the task bar.

Win 10 1909 Dual 6 core Xeon with two Nvidia K4000 GPU
Any ideas?

Hello Mike,

Try to uninstall LAV filters and re install it.
another solution : use another decoder than LAV filters.(Elecard, MainConcept)
Windows/Microsoft offers no solution for decoding H265.

Second question:
How is produced the H265 TS?
could you record 5 or 10 sec of it and send it to me? (mycall at yahoo.fr)

I have sent the recordings.

SV8RC on QO100 crashes the MT software within a few seconds.

Hi Jean -Pierre

I have got MT to work with my own H265 signal from DATV Express by opening the LAV GUI, in the bottom left section RGB Output Levels (for YUV to RGB conversion) There are 3 choices. It was clicked on 'PC (0-255)' and is now clicked to 'Untouched (as input)' and that has been fine for 15 minutes of receive decoding.

To get good audio/video sync I have to set 230mSec audio delay into DATV Express 1.25LP14 (Using VMIx audio out to Virtual Audio cable, Equaliser APO delay filter, then DATV Express audio in is set to Virtual Audio cable).

The different versions of DATV Express all have a different audio delay 1.25P4 is lowest at 70msec but drops frames.

Hi Mike,

TS produced by DATV express software is most of time very very bad . You are lucky when TS produced is acceptable.
very often timing (PCR, PTS) are very far from the values it should be.

I supposed also that , when you are decoding, you are using hardware decoding and that can cause the crash of Minitioune, .
Try to set LAV video decoder properties to use different hardware decoder or no HW decoder. ( go to properties, video setting, Hardware acceleration)

But the best thing to do is to produce a DVB compliant TS.
