13V /18V / 0V LNB Voltage with S2-3200

Messagede zg3409 » Mer 5 Mar 2014 17:56

I am using the latest Tutione software V0.2a and V0.2b with S2-3200 PCI card. It is working very well but I have a small problem. I have found a temporary work around which may help others.

I am using the LNB voltage 13V/18V to power a masthead pre-amp. I noticed sometimes there is no voltage and I have found when it happens.

If I put LNBvolt=2 in the .ini file the software starts with LNB voltage =18V.
If I change LNB voltage =13V it is Ok, and I can change LNB=18V and it works OK.
If I select LNB=0V, then when I press LNB=18V, it does not change, and LNB=13V does not change. LNB always stays at 0V. The only way to get the LNB voltage to equal 18V is to close down Tutione and restart the software. So I would recommend everyone if you want LNB voltage, to NEVER select LNB=0V and also to test the voltage with a DC mulitmeter to be sure the voltage is OK.

I noticed the same problem with NPM the noise measurement software. It seems as if when you select LNB=0V it turns off the LNB power and LNB=13V & LNB=18V does not turn it back on again.

If someone wants I can upload a video to show the problem. Can others with the 3200 card replicate this problem?

Thanks for this brilliant software. I am happy to test it. I look forward to receiving TV from the ISS this weekend!

Hello,

I have tested again. I start Tutioune1600 or Tutioune3200 with ini file set for 0 volt/
If I ask I3v or 18v in Tutioune I get It.

I don't see what can happen.

But Sure it is a good practice to verify with a voltmeter
